            Learning outcomes
        
        
            Acquaintance with the structure, scientific problems and results of scientific work of academic universities and industry institutes, production enterprises and their leading specialists in the chosen field of research; study of theoretical classical sources according to the chosen scientific problem related to the specialization of the department and in accordance with the scientific problem of the research regarding the future master's work; determination of the state of development of issues of the selected scientific problem in domestic and foreign literature; definition of the structure and main tasks of the master's research; mastering the methodology of statistical data processing and analysis; approval of the main theoretical and practical recommendations of the master's thesis (in the form of speeches at conferences, writing scientific articles, recommendations to authorities and management, etc.).

            Know theoretical and practical material in the specialty "Computer Science"; to be able to conduct research in the field of information technologies; to have the skills of programming, modeling, application of information technologies to solve practical problems.
        
    
            Course content
        
        
            During scientific research practice, master's students study the structure, organization and directions of scientific and industrial activity of the institution or organization - the practice base; types of information support and sources of scientific information; plans for scientific and technical research, topics of tasks; essence and peculiarities of scientific research methodology; theoretical foundations related to the selected scientific problem; methods of scientific research; requirements for registration of the results of research work. As a result of the practice, master's students should be able to conduct bibliographic work involving modern information technologies; apply the conceptual apparatus of scientific research methodology; select and analyze the necessary information; to formulate the purpose and tasks of scientific research; compare the obtained research results with the theoretical justification of the problem; formulate the conclusions of scientific research; publicize and implement the results of scientific research practice; to represent the results of the work in the form of reports, abstracts, articles, reports, presentations, etc.

            Assessment methods and criteria
        
        
             The maximum number of points that a master's student can receive for research practice does not exceed 100 points. In the course of the practice, the master's students' implementation of the thematic practice plan is monitored, namely: the manager from the organization - the practice base evaluates the knowledge and skills of the master's student, the results of the individual task, prepares a report and puts an assessment in the practice diary, provides written feedback on the work of the master's student; the manager from the university monitors the master's student's implementation of the individual practice  plan, the results of the individual assignment, prepares a report on the practice and puts an assessment in the practice diary, provides written feedback on the master's student's work.The condition for receiving a positive final grade in research practice is to obtain at least 60% of the maximum possible number of points.
