Learning outcomes
PLO 6. To apply the knowledge and skills necessary to provide translation from an oriental language into Ukrainian and vice versa in various fields and industries. PLO 10. Collect and systematize linguistic, literary, folklore facts, interpret and translate texts of different styles and genres into Crimean Tatar, English and Turkish. PLO12. Adhere to the rules of academic integrity. PLO14. Create, analyze and edit texts of different styles and genres. PLO 19. Perform interpretation and translation to provide specialized translation from Turkish into Ukrainian and vice versa in various professional fields. Prerequisites and co-requisites
2.1. Know: grammatical categories and means of the Turkish language; vocabulary and phraseology of modern Turkish; different literary styles; translation methods, techniques and methods of translation. 2.2. Be able to: use the Turkish language fluently, flexibly and effectively in oral and written form, in different genre-style varieties and registers communication to solve translation problems; ability to apply knowledge and skills necessary to create an adequate written and oral translation of texts of various genres and styles from Turkish into Ukrainian and vice versa. 2.3 Possess basic skills: perform bilateral translation, abstract and annotate, edit translations of special and literary texts general and special topics.
Course content
Formation of students' practical skills in translation and interpreting in real socio-economic conditions on the basis of theoretical knowledge gained at the Educational and Research Institute of Philology, awareness of the professional significance of this knowledge; mastering the ability to solve practical problems, consolidating such skills in real conditions of translation and interpreting, fostering in them the desire to systematically update and improve the acquired knowledge, and creatively apply it in their practical activities.
