Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the history of translation, its classification, basic translation strategies and
content of the main concepts in different models;
2. Be able to carry out stylistic and syntactic analysis of different types of texts,
use dictionaries and electronic resources in the translation process;
3. Have the skills to combine different translation strategies; ability to
to prepare texts of different styles for translation, including making appropriate analysis
at the morphological, lexical, syntactic level; search for appropriate lexical
and stylistic material necessary for translation; the basics of reviewing and adapting translated
review and adaptation of translated language material.
Course content
To develop the ability to perform translation
activities at the professional level, deepen extralinguistic knowledge, consolidate the acquired
knowledge of translation theory and practice necessary for professional activity, learn to
to use modern methods of information retrieval for the implementation of specific types of
translation, be able to adapt texts in accordance with the specifics of communicative
situations, know the principles of pragmatic adaptation in terms of correctness and politeness.

Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level
assessment of the material learned, including assessment of theoretical training
learning outcomes (knowledge 1.1 - 1.4), which is 40% of the total grade, and
assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills 2.1-2.2),
(communication 3.1-3.2) (autonomy and responsibility 4.1-4.2), which is 60% of the total
assessment
