Learning outcomes
PLO7. Analyze, compare and classify different areas and schools of linguistics. PLO11. To carry out scientific analysis of linguistic, speech and literary material, interpret and structure it taking into account appropriate methodological principles, formulate generalizations based on independently processed data. PLO12. Adhere to the rules of academic integrity. PLO19. Perform interpretation and translation to provide industry-specific translation from Turkish into Ukrainian and vice versa in various professional fields. Prerequisites and co-requisites
to know: - the interrelationships of text linguistics with other translation and linguistic disciplines; - the range of tasks of genre theories of translation; be able to: - research text linguistics on the subject of genre and style from the point of view of rhetoric, comparative stylistics, language history, literature, cognitive linguistics and other philological disciplines; - apply translation transformations of various types to translate texts belonging to different functional styles to translate texts belonging to different functional styles, registers and genres; - translate texts from Turkish into Ukrainian and vice versa in oral and written form of different genres and styles.
Course content
Orientation of translation transformations to the combination of text and discourse as objects of scientific research of cultural heritage information in translation from and into Turkish.
