Prerequisites and co-requisites
developing students' knowledge of the trends of the literary process in the Middle East, the specifics of its genres and styles, prominent works, writers of the region, as well as the connection of the literary tradition of the region with Crimean Tatar literature.
Course content
To acquaint Turkologists with the literature of the Near and Middle East and demonstrate the connection with the Crimean Tatar literary tradition. Based on the analysis of literary monuments, students will be able to familiarize themselves with and analyze the heritage of the literature of the Ancient East at the levels of genres, plots, images and artistic means.

Assessment methods and criteria
The grade is based on the results of the student's work throughout the semester and does not provide for additional assessment measures for successful students.  students who have scored a total of less than the critical minimum of 60 points, must write a module test.  the maximum number of points for a module test is 20 points  The test consists of two tasks: 1) a written answer to a theoretical question; 2) Creative task on the interpretation of a fragment of a literary of a literary work.  A student is not allowed to take the test if he or she has scored less than 46 points, has not has not completed the tasks of intermediate controls.
