Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Before starting this course, students should know the main content of sacred texts, the main stages of the formation of patristic thought, the semantics of important philosophical and theological terms.
2. To be able to navigate the sources and important commentaries of the patristic era, to have an idea of the main triadological and Christological discussions and the struggle of schools and ideas in the context of the formation of the Christian creed, about the main ontological questions of other modern religions.
3. Possess elementary skills of scientific research and information management; leading a discussion, critical attitude and forecasting about
worldview, religious and cultural events and phenomena; use of foreign language professional informative sources.
Course content
The discipline belongs to the list of disciplines chosen by students and is taught in the VI semester of the bachelor's degree. The educational discipline is an auxiliary course of the system of religious knowledge. In the center of attention is the problem of being and time as the most important metaphysical concepts. Accordingly, familiarization with the ideas of this course will contribute to the formation of the necessary knowledge for the analysis of ontological problems of modern philosophy and religious studies, and will provide students with methodological foundations for a deeper independent study of primary sources.
