Learning outcomes
The results consist in the formation of students' integral system of knowledge about the basic regulatory framework in the field of cultural heritage management; powers of different levels of state and local authorities in the processes of management and use of cultural heritage; responsibility in case of violation of the integrity of cultural heritage monuments; principles of economic use of monuments that do not threaten the preservation of cultural heritage.

Course content
The management and use of cultural heritage is a special sphere of economic activity, which involves the use of monuments in a way that does not violate their integrity; implementation of measures to ensure the protection and preservation of cultural heritage. The discipline "Management of cultural heritage" involves studying the functions of monuments of history and culture in modern society; the main regulatory framework in the field of cultural heritage management; determination of all levels of government involved in the processes of cultural heritage management, the specifics of their powers, functions and role of local self-government in the organization of protection of monuments on the ground; analysis of the peculiarities of the economic use of monuments, the role of national reserves in the field of monument protection, norms of administrative and criminal responsibility for violating the integrity of monuments; familiarization with the experience of the world's leading countries in the field of cultural heritage management.

Planned educational activities and teaching methods - lectures, seminar classes, practical and independent work.
Assessment methods and criteria
The control of the student's knowledge is carried out according to the modular rating system. The total number of student points is formed by the semester points received from all topics of two content modules (points received for modular control papers (in the form of tests); points received for completing individual tasks; points received for work in seminar classes, as well as points which are received for the final control work.
The results of students' educational activities are evaluated on a 100-point scale.
The criteria for evaluating a student's answer are:
• complete disclosure of the issue
• the logic of presentation
• use of basic and additional literature
• analytical reasoning, the ability to draw conclusions
