Learning outcomes
Mastering the basic concepts of the discipline, specifying the meaning of the concept of "historical and cultural reserves" and getting acquainted with the regulatory and legislative regulation and structural and functional management of the protected matter, the features of using the resources of historical and cultural reserves for scientific-research, cultural-educational, recreational-educational activities, developing skills for working with scientific and special literature, maps, reference publications, etc., the ability to apply the knowledge gained during training in practice: when writing master's theses, in further scientific and practical activities.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know: the classification of historical and cultural monuments.
Be able to determine the historical, scientific and cultural aspects (values) of monuments that are under state protection; distinguish historical-architectural, architectural-historical, historical-memorial, historical-archaeological, historical-ethnographic, historical-cultural monuments; .to orientate in the legislative definition of components covering ensembles and complexes of monuments of history and culture.
Possess: basic concepts of theory and research methods of historical and cultural reserves; criteria for the classification of monuments of individual types and types of historical and cultural reserves; preservation and popularization of the historical and cultural heritage of Ukraine.
Course content
In the course program, students study the concept of "Historical-cultural reserve", the Law of Ukraine "On the protection of cultural heritage", the Standard Regulation on the historical-cultural reserve, normative-legislative regulation and structural-functional management of the protected matter. The history of development and the current state of historical and cultural reserves of Ukraine are clarified. Historical and cultural reserves that appeared during the years of Ukraine's independence are comprehensively considered. Attention is focused on the functions of historical and cultural reserves: scientific and research, cultural and educational, recreational and educational. The functions and role of historical and cultural reserves in the socio-cultural development of the regions are revealed. For a deeper study of the course, materials from the funds of the National Historical and Cultural Reserves of Ukraine are widely used.
The content of the course is divided into 2 content modules. Each content module includes lectures, seminars, independent work of students, which are completed by rating control of the level of assimilation of knowledge of the program material of the corresponding part of the course. Content module 1 (СМ1) includes topics 1-11, content module 2 (СМ2) includes topics 12-22.

Assessment methods and criteria
The control of the student's knowledge is carried out according to the modular rating system. The total number of student points is formed by the semester points received from all topics of two content modules (points received for modular control papers (in the form of tests); points received for completing individual tasks; points received for work in seminar classes, as well as points which are received for the final control work.
The results of students' educational activities are evaluated on a 100-point scale.
The criteria for evaluating a student's answer are:
• complete disclosure of the issue
• the logic of presentation
• use of basic and additional literature
• analytical reasoning, the ability to draw conclusions
