Learning outcomes
PLO 5. Collect, organize and analyze information on cultural phenomena, events and historical and cultural processes. PLO 6. Identify, verify and summarize information about various contexts of cultural practice, determine the extent of their sources, information, communication tools and visual technologies. PLO 10. Recognize and classify different types of ethno-cultural products, determine their quality characteristics based on comprehensive analysis.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of the courses "Historical and Ethnographic Regions of Ukraine", "Mythology", "Introduction to Ethnocultural Studies", "Ukrainian Ritual Culture", "History of Ukrainian Culture". Knowledge of general information on the history of Ukrainian culture and decorative and applied art. As a result of studying the academic discipline, the student must: Know: 1.1. basic concepts and terms from the material culture of Ukrainians; 1.2. scientific works of Ukrainian researchers in the field of material culture; Be able: 2.1. to collect, organize and analyze information on the elements of the material culture of Ukrainians; 2.2. carry out a description of the technical and constructive features of samples of the material culture of Ukrainians; 2.3. identify typical features and classify elements of the material culture of Ukrainians.
Course content
The educational discipline is devoted to the study of general issues of the course: the history of the development of material culture; the current state of material culture of Ukrainians; material foundations of human life support. The course provides for the study of the peculiarities of the material culture of Ukrainians of different historical periods.

Assessment methods and criteria
1) The final number of points for the discipline (maximum 100 points) is defined as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester, taking into account the final assessment (exam). Admission to the exam requires the student to successfully complete assignments and work throughout the semester. Therefore, the final grade for the discipline (minimum 60, maximum 100 points) consists of the sum of the number of points for the semester work (minimum 36, maximum 60 points) and the final assessment - the exam (minimum 24, maximum 40 points).
