Learning outcomes
Formation of a systematic vision of the development of tourism and excursion business in Ukraine, assimilation of theoretical and practical skills in the basics of excursion service.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know:
1.1. the most important facts, events and processes of the historical past of Ukraine;
1.2. the basics of museum business and monument studies.
2. Be able to:
2.1. critically analyze various information, independently select literature and work with sources;
2.2. to analyze the tourist resources of the regions of Ukraine.
3. Possess elementary skills of source criticism, historical analysis, establishment of cause and effect relationships.
Course content
The history of the development of the excursion business, theoretical foundations are considered: signs and main elements of the excursion, their relationship; stages of preparation of the excursion; preparation and registration of documentation for the excursion; classification of methodical methods, characteristics of methodical methods of showing, telling and movement; technical requirements for conducting an excursion; peculiarities of conducting various types of excursions.
The content of the course is divided into 2 content modules. Each content module includes lectures, practical classes, independent work of students, which are completed by rating control of the level of assimilation of knowledge of the program material of the corresponding part of the course. Content module 1 (СМ1) includes topics 1–4, content module 2 (СМ2) includes topics 5–10.

Assessment methods and criteria
The student's five points form the semester points obtained from all topics of two content modules (points obtained for modular control works (in the form of tests); points obtained for completing individual tasks; points obtained for work in practical classes, as well as points that received for the final control work.
Assessment of student knowledge success is carried out in two forms: semester assessment (tests, oral survey, essays) and final assessment
(exam).
The total number of points is 100 points (of which, the semester assessment is a maximum of 60 points; the final assessment (exam) is a maximum of 40 points).
The results of students' educational activities are evaluated on a 100-point scale.
