In defense of the GQT for the master's degree is confirmed by mastering the following LR: Demonstrate skills of written and oral communication in the state and foreign languages, professional use of sociological terminology. Demonstrate a reasoned presentation of one's own opinion, competent and tolerant discussion with opponents. Summarize scientific sources, justify their own position, draw independent conclusions. Publicly present research results. Apply the latest sociological theories and methods of analysis of social phenomena and processes. Adhere to the principles of professional ethics of the sociologist. Use the latest methods of collecting and analyzing sociological information to solve practical problems. To be able to formulate the purpose, to set tasks of scientific researches in fundamental and applied spheres of sociology. Be able to perform critical analysis of theoretical, methodological and practical professional literature.

Full-time form

The required amount of GQT for the EL "Master" is 90-120 thousand characters, including spaces (45-60 pages of text), excluding the title page, content, annotation, list of sources and applications used. The list of used sources should contain at least 25 references to special literature on sociology (scientific books, chapters of monographs, articles, analytical and statistical collections and reports), including at least 3 references to English-language scientific sources. In the list of used sources at least 50% of references should be to publications published in the last 10 years (for the year of protection). Works containing plagiarism are not allowed to be protected.

The thesises must contain: title page; annotation of up to 900 characters (including spaces) and keywords (3-5 words) - in two languages (Ukrainian and English); table of contents - with reference to the page numbers where the relevant sections begin; introduction - where the object, subject, purpose and objectives of the research should be clearly defined; two or more sections of the main part, in which the main content of the work should be stated, each section should end with conclusions on the section; conclusions in which the results of the work should be formulated and the correspondence of the obtained results to the set tasks of the research; list of used sources - designed in accordance with the requirements; applications - if necessary.

Individual work, self-education, research work, consultations with the supervisor, group discussion, recommendation of the department.

The thesises must be performed in the state language. Literacy and correct use of special terminology are taken into account when evaluating the work. The defense of the GQT (master's thesis) is carried out at a meeting of the examination commission (EC), appointed by order of the rector, in accordance with the schedule of comprehensive final exams and defense of master's thesis approved by the vice-rector for research and teaching. Admission to the defense at a meeting of the EC is by order of the dean on the basis of the submission of the department. The maximum number of points that can be obtained by the applicant for the defense of the WRC of the master - 100. Works that are evaluated by the commission less than 60 points are considered those whose defense did not take place. Works containing plagiarism are not allowed to be protected.
