Learning outcomes
As a result of studying the course, students should learn modern mechanisms of preservation of cultural heritage, be able to choose appropriate methods and develop theoretical models for the legal support of a monument to be preserved.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the special legislative framework that regulates the protection of cultural heritage. 2. To be able to analyze the domestic and foreign experience of legal support in the protection of cultural heritage. 3. Possess elementary skills of source criticism, historical analysis, establishment of cause and effect relationships.
Course content
The content of the course is divided into 2 content modules. Each content module includes lectures, seminars, independent work of students, which are completed by rating control of the level of assimilation of knowledge of the program material of the corresponding part of the course. Content module 1 (СМ1) includes topics 1 - 6, content module 2 (СМ2) - topics 7 - 10.

Assessment methods and criteria
The control of the student's knowledge is carried out according to the modular rating system. The total number of student points is formed by the semester points obtained from all topics of the two content modules (points obtained during the blitz survey; points obtained for the completion of essays; points obtained during the module control (for the completion of test tasks), as well as points, received during the final control (exam). Assessment of students' knowledge success is carried out in two forms: semester assessment (tests, oral blitz survey, essays) and final assessment (exam). The total number of points is 100 points (of which, the semester assessment is a maximum of 60 points; the final assessment (exam) is a maximum of 40 points). The criteria for evaluating a student's answer are: • complete disclosure of the issue; • the logic of presentation; • use of basic and additional literature; • analytical reasoning, the ability to draw conclusions.
