Prerequisites and co-requisites
The discipline "Design of structural financial products" is compiled in accordance with the educational and professional training program for masters in the field of knowledge 07 Management and administration, the educational program Financial institutions and risk management. A necessary condition for successfully mastering the subject is prior knowledge of the basic principles of the disciplines of finance, as well as being able to analyze and predict the likely negative consequences of various situations, distinguishing the causes and consequences of changes in the financial market, possessing the skills of analysis, synthesis, processing and visualization of statistical data, work with the legal framework, apply modeling methods.
Course content
The educational discipline reveals the specifics of the activity of banking and non-banking financial intermediaries in the market of financial services, the reasons for the emergence of tools and the market of structural products, introduces students to the main methods of evaluating structural products, considers the peculiarities of pricing structural products, as well as factors affecting their current value, etc.

The purpose of the discipline is to study the theoretical 1 organizational foundations of the functioning of the financial services market, its structure, methods of regulating the activities of participants, organizational foundations and the order of providing certain types of financial services, as well as familiarizing students with the tools and principles used to form and calculate structured financial products.
Assessment methods and criteria
The grade is formed according to the modular rating system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the learned material, in particular the assessment of theoretical training (40%) includes: oral reports, surveys, testing and evaluation of practical training (60%) - performance of creative analytical and calculation works, presentations.
