Learning outcomes
PLO 2. Analyze, comment on, and summarize scientific and analytical texts of ethnocultural nature. PLO 6. Identify, verify and summarize information on various contexts of cultural practice, determine the degree of their relevance using relevant sources, information, communication tools and visual technologies. PLO 7. Understand the factors of ethnocultural dynamics, the principles of periodization of ethnocultural processes, their specific features and characteristics. PLO 10. Recognize and classify different types of ethnocultural products, determine their qualitative characteristics based on comprehensive analysis.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before starting the study of this discipline, students must know the basic information on the history, culture and art of Ukraine, be able to: select, process and systematize scientific sources on a specific issue, possess elementary skills of referencing a scientific text.
Course content
The goal of the discipline is to form theoretical knowledge and practical skills, synthesizing the methodology of cultural research, from the history and genesis of folk decorative and applied art, regional originality and national identity of folk art, cultural practices of creative centers as elements of intangible cultural heritage. Freely operate the scientific terminological apparatus of ethnocultural studies, folkloristics and art history. Abstract. The educational discipline is dedicated to the study of general issues of the course: the history of the development of Ukrainian decorative and applied art; the modern state of Ukrainian folk decorative and applied art; revival and preservation of traditional types of decorative and applied arts, schools and centers. The course provides for the study of various types of Ukrainian folk decorative and applied art, the problems of their popularization and preservation.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course includes 10 topics. Forms of education: lectures, practical classes, independent work. During the semester, after the lectures on the relevant topics, seminar classes are held, at which evaluations are carried out according to the types of work (oral answer in the practical class, presentation, intermediate final control work (test), credit). The PKR is held no later than the last lecture week.
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the learned material, assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge) - 40% of the total assessment, and assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills, communication, autonomy and responsibility - 60% of the overall assessment. Evaluation of the semester work: oral answer on the practical recording 34/17 p., performance of individual work 20/15 p., control work (test) 26/16 p. The overall grade for the semester consists of points obtained for classroom work (which synthesizes and independent work on processing theoretical material for classroom preparation: oral answers, individual works, control works) and for independent work (performance of individual works). All types of work for the semester have a total of 48/80 points. The discipline ends with a credit control work in the form of a 20/12 b test.
