Learning outcomes
PLO 2. To demonstrate an adequate level of mastery of national and foreign languages to perform written and spoken communication, namely in the situations of professional and academic communication; to present the results of their studies in these national and foreign languages. PLO 10. To collect and systematize facts of language and literature, to interpret and translate texts of various styles and genres (depending on the chosen specialization). PLO 22. To analyze, design, and give reasons for translation decisions, decisions on the choice of translation tools and methods of quality assurance in specialized translation.

Educational qualification level of bachelor's degree. Level of Portuguese no less then C1.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is further development and improvement of the skills of written and oral translation of scientific and technical texts, control editing and work with dictionaries and other sources of scientific information, familiarization with the peculiarities of the professional activity of translators of scientific texts, etc. Due to this, students are offered materials on various topics, as well as exercises that require significant and careful independent work of students to search for certain terms and expressions in various dictionaries, encyclopedias, training manuals, electronic resources and other sources on the specified topic.
