PLO 2. Analyze, comment, generalize, scientific and analytical texts of an ethnocultural nature. PLO 8. Interpret ethno-cultural sources (material, printed, visual, artistic) using special literature and defined methods, present reasoned conclusions about their content. PLO 10. Recognize and classify different types of ethno-cultural products, determine their quality characteristics based on comprehensive analysis.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before starting the study of this discipline, students should know: the main characteristics of oral culture as a traditional folk art; to have basic factual knowledge of a humanitarian nature. Be able to work with various sources of educational and scientific information, process it, make generalizations and conclusions; collect and interpret information about the peculiarities of folklore genres; apply basic concepts in the analysis of folklore phenomena; plan and evaluate own work; use interactive and multimedia tools. Possess elementary skills of scientific research, search and processing of educational and scientific information; use of professional informative sources, including foreign language ones; critical attitude to the analyzed phenomena; works with folklore texts; production of complex oral and written messages; interaction and cooperation in learning in exploratory situations.
Course content
Purpose of discipline – systematic study by students of the phenomenon of collective folk creativity, evolution and poetic specificity of folklore genres of oral culture and subgenres, laws of their creation and peculiarities of modification. Annotation. The task of the АD "Ukrainian oral culture" is to form a system of knowledge about oral culture, its specificity and patterns of development among students; outline the paradigm of oral folklore genres and consider their artistic features, acquaint students with the theoretical and methodological basis of their research and develop skills in the analysis of folklore texts. The object of study is folk poetry texts of canonical folklore genres of oral culture, in particular anecdotes, horror stories, fairy-tale and non-tale prose, and lyric-epos. The subject is modern trends in the study and genre parameterization of folk epics and lyrical epics.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The course includes 2 content parts. The educational discipline consists of two substantive parts. Forms of education: lectures, seminars, independent work. Throughout the semester, after lectures on relevant topics, seminar classes are held, which are evaluated according to the types of work (oral answer, preparation of tests, creation of problematic questions for discussion, participation in discussion, control work, presentation).
Assessment methods and criteria
Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the learned material, assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge) - 40% of the total assessment and assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills, communication) - 60% of the overall assessment. The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student in the process of learning the material from the entire educational course. The overall grade for the semester consists of points received for classroom work (oral answers, participation in discussions), independent creative works (presentation, preparation of tests, creation of problematic questions for discussion) and two control works in the form of tests. All types of work for the semester have a total of: 100 points in the maximum dimension, 60 points in the minimum dimension. The final number of points for the discipline (maximum 100 points).
