Learning outcomes
PR05. Analyze and evaluate the impact of biology on the development of society. PR06. Analyze biological phenomena and processes at the molecular, cellular, organismal, population-species and biosphere levels in terms of basic general scientific knowledge, as well as using special modern research methods. PR07. Describe and analyze the principles of structural and functional organization, mechanisms of regulation and adaptation of organisms to the influence of various factors. PR17. Apply modern learning technologies for teaching special subjects. PR18. Model objects and processes in living organisms and their components using mathematical methods and information technology.
Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of disciplines "Biology of individual development", "Biochemistry", "Physiology and anatomy of man and animals", "Histophysiology reproductive system, "Hormonal regulation of ontogenesis". 2. Ability to independently apply knowledge of cytology, histology, biochemistry, physiology, etc. disciplines for solving specific scientific and practical problems; work with scientific and scientific-methodical literature. 3. Possession of basic skills in working with light microscopes, cytophysiological analysis of histological preparations of the reproductive organs system and embryonic material.
Course content
Discipline allows to get a holistic view of the patterns of development of human embryos in different trimesters of pregnancy and features of histogenesis of human functional systems in the prenatal period. The study analyzes the dynamics of age-related changes in the structural and functional organization of the reproductive system in postnatal ontogenesis, including periods of prepubertal and puberty, pregnancy, childbirth, lactation and differences in the restructuring of reproductive organs in men and women in adulthood and aging.
