Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful completion of the courses "Pedagogical Psychology", "Age Psychology" and "Pedagogy"; knowledge of the theoretical foundations of the structure of the psyche, factors and basic mechanisms of personality formation; possessing the skills and abilities of analyzing scientific literature, preparing essays, presentations, conducting a discussion.
Course content
The discipline "High School Psychology" belongs to the list of mandatory educational components of the OP "English Communication and Translation and Two Western European Languages". Its subject is the psychological foundations of the educational process and pedagogical interaction in higher education institutions, psychological mechanisms of professional personality formation. The content of the discipline is revealed in two modules. In the first one, the theoretical and methodological foundations of science, its conceptual and categorical apparatus, the peculiarities of the student as a subject of educational and professional activity, adaptation to study at higher education institutions are revealed; peculiarities of the development of the student group. In the second - psychological aspects of the activity of the teacher of higher educational institutions, psychological foundations of the development of his professionalism; psychological patterns of pedagogical interaction between teacher and student.
