Learning outcomes
Know: the main theoretical problems of international political science, methods of researching its object; the process of formation of the phenomenon of international relations and the paradigm of its study. Be able to: use the theoretical provisions of international political science to analyze international relations and world politics; use a systematic approach to the analysis of international political problems; to generalize and systematize the main provisions and conclusions of world scientific thought on international relations; to give a scientific assessment of international political events; to conduct basic information and analytical research in the field of international relations.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastering of the discipline "Socio-political studies"; knowledge of the theoretical foundations of modern international political processes, modern information systems and technologies, critical thinking.
Course content
I. Theoretical concepts of international relations. 1. International relations as a phenomenon of social relations. 2. Problems of international relations in the history of socio-political thought. 3. Theories of international relations. 4. The problem of subjectivity in international politics and international law. 5. System and structure of international relations. The concept of world politics. ІІ. Modern international relations and world politics. 6. Types of processes in international relations. 7. Institutionalization of international relations. 8. Universal international organizations. 9. Specialized and regional international organizations and international agreements 10. International conflicts. 11. Local and global international conflicts. 12. Ways to prevent and reduce international conflicts. New threats to international security 13. Global problems of modern international relations.

Assessment methods and criteria
1. Active work in seminars - 40/28 points. 2. Performance of control works - 30/16 points (2 works on 15 maximum or 8 minimum points for each). 3. Presentation of an individual analytical report - 30/16 points. Final assessment: pass-exam
