PR1. Know the state and foreign languages ​​at a level sufficient for communication on professional issues and presentation of the results of their own research. PR2. Analyze biological phenomena and processes at the molecular, cellular, organismal, population-species and biosphere levels in terms of basic general scientific knowledge, as well as using special modern research methods. PR7. Describe and analyze the principles of structural and functional organization, mechanisms of regulation and adaptation of organisms to the influence of various factors.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastering of the courses "Biochemistry", "Molecular Biology", "Genomics". Knowledge of theoretical foundations of biophysics, molecular biology, physical chemistry, bioinformatics, biochemistry, biotechnology, cytology, genetics and cytogenetics. Ability to independently apply knowledge of molecular biology, etc. disciplines, perform laboratory and practical work, work with scientific literature.
Course content
The course is devoted to the study of molecular mechanisms of translation of genetic information in prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells, as well as systems of control and regulation of these processes; modern methods of obtaining and analyzing recombinant DNA, cloning of specific genes and the use of cloned DNA, PCR, genome mapping methods, biochemical methods for studying biomolecules are demonstrated; provides information on the physical organization of genomes, the structure of chromosomes and genes.
