Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Before starting this course, students should have basic knowledge of cosmology and its connection with the history of philosophical thought; basic knowledge of the history of the development of certain philosophical traditions; knowledge of the history of cosmology, mythology, astronomy, physics; skills of comparative analysis of different philosophical systems within one historical and philosophical period;
2. To be able to translate from the original language and analyze the material and independently carry out historical and philosophical work on processing texts; to possess the terminological-categorical apparatus of philosophical research; to acquire the skills of independent definition and disclosure of the content of basic philosophical concepts, terms, categories.
Course content
The discipline introduces students to a wide range of material both in historical terms, starting from the time of the emergence of philosophical views in antiquity and up to the present day, and in theoretical terms - the course examines the problems of philosophy of nature, philosophy of natural sciences, philosophy of history, important cosmogonic, cosmological and natural philosophical questions. At the same time, this program aims to increase the general theoretical level of students' training, to develop in them professional skills for working with philosophical literature of a cosmological content. This discipline "Cosmology in the history of philosophy" is taught for students of the "Bachelor" OS in the II year in the I semester in the amount of 90 hours. Of them, 30 hours of lectures, 14 hours of seminars. Ends with credit in the 1st semester. The course "Cosmology in the history of philosophy" provides students of the Faculty of Philosophy of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University with the features of the development of cosmology in the history of philosophy. The course is important for expanding and deepening students' knowledge in the field of historical-philosophical science and is an indispensable component of the training of modern specialists in religious studies.

Підсумкова кількість балів з дисципліни (максимум 100 балів) визначається як сума балів за систематичну роботу впродовж семестру з урахуванням підсумкової контрольної роботи. Залік виставляється за результатами роботи студента впродовж усього семестру і не передбачає додаткових заходів оцінювання.
Для студентів, які набрали сумарно меншу кількість балів, ніж критичний мінімум – 60 балів, для одержання заліку необхідно обов’язково відпрацювати пропущені теми в письмовій формі та здати/надіслати електронною поштою викладачу, що проводить семінарські заняття. Таким чином, підсумкова оцінка з дисципліни (мінімум 60, максимум 100 балів) складається із суми кількості балів за семестрову роботу (мінімум 48, максимум 80 балів) та підсумкової контрольної роботи (мінімум 12, максимум 20 балів).
