"Computer graphics" is a scientific discipline that develops technologies for creating, processing, and visualizing geographic data using computer technology. This course explores the use of different types of graphics (fractal, raster, vector, and three-dimensional) for the graphical representation of information. Considers the construction of topographic signs using a graphic editor. Given that color is an important visual medium, the content of the course makes extensive use of the data of color science, and the ways of constructing relief in various ways, including with the help of computer technologies, are also studied.
The course should teach students specific practical methods of using technical and artistic graphics, design of hatched and color original maps. The discipline consists of two content modules.
The first module is dedicated to introducing students to the types of computer graphics and to the presentation of graphic information in Adobe Illustrator С6. The second one focuses on revealing the essence of the relief image using chiaroscuro and computer technologies.

The final grade from the educational component, the final form of control for which credit is established, is defined as the sum of grades (points) for all successfully assessed learning outcomes of 60 points and credit of 40 points. Scores below the minimum threshold level are not added to the final score.
Mandatory for receiving a positive final grade (60 points and above and "passed") is the completion of all laboratory work and modular control work.
