Learning outcomes
PR 4. Have methods of observation, description, identification, classification, selection, microclonal propagation, cultivation of ornamental plants and plant horticultural groups, to maintain their decorative, stability and stability under different conditions. PR 5. To have working skills of independent work and the ability to get results within a limited time with an emphasis on professional integrity in the cultivation of ornamental plants in open and closed soils, design, creation and operation of horticultural facilities.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know -basic principles of combining woody plants in phytocenoses of different purposes; features of selection and combination of woody plants in phytocenoses of artificial origin; 2. Be able to: use professional sources of forest reproduction at the professional level, analyze and critically evaluate their professional content, apply the acquired knowledge to improve the species composition, decorative and biological stability of forests of artificial origin, draft projects for afforestation and implement them into production ; to exercise control over forestry works and assess the quality of forest crops. 3. Have a set of knowledge of related disciplines such as dendrology, geodesy, forest soil science, physiology, forestry, mechanization of forestry, forest phytopathology and entomology.
Course content
The discipline "Reforestation and afforestation" is a compulsory subject. It is designed to form in students a comprehensive view of the artificial reproduction of forests with the involvement of regional technologies. It sets out issues related to the basic principles of creation and cultivation of forest crops, as well as the theoretical foundations of creation and cultivation of artificial plantations of major forest-forming woody plants depending on the type of forest plant conditions and categories of forest areas.
