Learning outcomes
PR2. Use libraries, information databases, Internet resources to search for the necessary information. PR5. Analyze and evaluate the impact of biology on the development of society. PR11. To carry out statistical processing, analysis and generalization of the received experimental data with use of software and modern information technologies. PR19. Solve scientific-theoretical, research and applied problems of biology by appropriate methods. PR 34. Be able to form a system of analysis and interpretation of new results on the structural organization, functioning and formation of groups of microorganisms, based on in-depth knowledge of the disciplines of vocational training.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successfully master the scientific-theoretical and practical material of the complex of educational disciplines of the educational level "Bachelor". 2. Know the theoretical foundations of microbiology, genetics, biochemistry, molecular biology and basic methods of biological research. 3. Be able to work with information databases, independently develop scientific and methodological literature. 4. Be able to use materials and laboratory equipment in research. 5. Possess methods of analytical evaluation of the results of biological research to solve a specific scientific and practical problem.
Course content
The discipline "Antibiotics" covers issues of modern areas of microbiology and chemotherapy, analyzes the era of antibiotics, its achievements and shortcomings.
