Prerequisites and co-requisites
to know the basic concepts of general and social psychology;
to be able to search for the necessary information, analyze and critically evaluate it; formulate social inquiries and correlate them with student's professional activities;
to have skills in working with reference apparatus of libraries; basic methods of collecting and interpreting facts of social reality; establishing cause and effect relationships, basic skills of statistical analysis.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to acquaint students with the theoretical and methodological foundations of political psychology, to develop practical skills in the use of modern methods and techniques of monitoring research, taking into account human values and norms of professional ethics of a psychologist.
The discipline is designed to develop students' system of scientific and practical knowledge, skills and competencies in psychological aspects of politics, identify trends in the development of socio-political processes, make electoral forecasts, understand and analyze political conflicts of different political actors, peculiarities of the content and structures of political power, assess the quality and trends in the development and adoption of optimal management decisions in the socio-political sphere.

Assessment methods and criteria
1. Oral answers (presentation at the seminar, participation in discussions and debates, additions): 45/27 points
2. Creative independent work: 15/9 points
The final assessment is conducted in the form of an exam. The maximum number of points that can be obtained by a student is 40 points on a 100-point scale.
The form of the examination is written. Types of tasks - 2 open questions and 1 creative question, with the answer to open question 1 - 30%; the answer to open question 2 - 30%, creative question 3 - 40% of the total score. The minimum threshold level of the exam grade at which the exam is considered passed cannot be less than 24 points.
A student is not allowed to take the exam if he or she scored less than 36 points during the semester. He/she is admitted to the exam if he/she has completed 50% of the practical work provided in the plan.
