Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastery of the disciplines "Introduction to the specialty", "General Psychology" and "Developmental Psychology". To know: the specifics of human ontogeny; methods of developmental psychology; historical development of the basic ideas of developmental psychology; content and specifics of human ontogenetic development; psychological content of crises of adulthood. To be able to: navigate the variety of theories of gerontopsychology as a scientific discipline discipline; design experiments and empirical studies on mental development in late life; determine the feasibility of using techniques and methods of a particular methodological paradigm when working with older clients; apply the acquired knowledge in the psychological counseling of older clients. Possess elementary skills: to apply to the later stages of ontogenesis the provisions of theories describing the laws of age development.
Course content
The aim of the discipline is to form a holistic view of the laws of human mental development in the later stages of ontogeny and psychological characteristics of the elderly. The program includes theoretical problems of late-life development and reveals the personality of an elderly person. Particular attention is paid to the specifics of psychological work with elderly clients.

Assessment methods and criteria
A credit is held during the examination session. The form of the credit is oral. Types of tasks - open questions, creative tasks; the answer to an open question is 50%, to a creative task - 25% of the total grade for the credit of 20 points. The minimum threshold level of the credit grade for which the credit is considered passed cannot be less than 12 points. Students are not allowed to take credit if they scored less than 48 points during the semester. They are allowed to take the credit if they have completed 50% of the practical work provided in the plan. The semester final grade is formed by the points received by the student during the semester and the points received at the credit, the maximum distribution is carried out according to the following algorithm: 60 points (60%) for semester control and 40 points (40%) for the credit.
