Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) successful mastery of the disciplines "General Psychology", "Social Psychology", "Psychology of Individual Differences"; 2) knowledge of theoretical foundations of individual, group psychology, communication psychology, and learning psychology; 3) possession of basic skills in interviewing, personality diagnostics, and teaching children and adults.
Course content
The aim of the discipline is to acquaint students with the modern theory and practice of media psychology. To consider the main sections of media psychology as a science, in particular: the concept of media landscape, media culture, media communication; to develop critical thinking skills and learn to distinguish between the main media effects. The course program includes consideration of conceptual issues and applied problems of media psychology. Considerable attention is paid to the analysis of issues and literature that are submitted for independent study by students. The course program also includes control questions and tasks for each of its sections for students' self-examination.
