Prerequisites and co-requisites
to know: about the age periods of child development, personality development, family psychology, communication theory, basics of differential psychology to be able to: select valid and reliable psychodiagnostic tools to have: skills of perception and analysis of psychological methods and tests aimed at examining young children.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline: formation of students' knowledge on typical and abnormal development, causes of abnormal development and principles of its correction; mastering knowledge and skills in the psychology of atypical development. In the course of studying the discipline, the following issues are revealed on the principle of architectonics a) causes of abnormal development (genetic, toxic, infectious, etc. factors); b) specific problems of formation of primary and secondary defects in case of somatic and neurological problems in a child c) principles of building correctional programs and early intervention programs, taking into account the peculiarities of the child's abnormal development. The psychology of abnormal development is aimed at developing students' skills of effective professional activity in the conditions of inclusive education and work of a correctional psychologist.

Assessment methods and criteria
1. express survey - from 1 to 4 points; 2. colloquium - from 3 to 4 points; 3. reports and research papers - from 6 to 7 points; 4. testing (choose the correct ones from a set of judgments) - from 6 to 7 points; 5. three module tests - from 2 to 4 points for each (total: from 6 to 12 points); 6. intermediate control (final test) - 2 to 6 points. The minimum score to be obtained by a student in the relevant assessment forms is 24 points. The maximum score that a student can receive per semester is 40 points. Final assessment: written exam The maximum final grade for this discipline can be 100 points. A student can receive a maximum of 60 points in the exam, to which are added the points received by the student during seminars. To obtain an overall positive grade in the discipline, the grade for the exam cannot be less than 36 points.
