Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know: basics of social work theory; basics of social psychology; legal principles of social work; principles of social policy implementation; ethical bases of activity as a social worker and specialists of related professions; features of the state and non-state sectors of social work; the specifics of the functioning of public relations departments in public administration. Be able to: master the basic technologies of social work with different groups of the population; to assess the quality of social assistance to the population; have the skills to manage social processes; use research methods in social work; use methods of data processing and analysis; work with spreadsheets; to develop analytical documents, carry out a preliminary assessment of draft management decisions in the social sphere.
Course content
The purpose discipline is to form the necessary knowledge for undergraduates regarding the theoretical and methodological foundations, evolution, mechanisms and technologies of interaction between the power and the public. In the process of studying the discipline, attention is focused on the following aspects: consideration of principles, approaches and models of interaction between society and government; the formation of skills and abilities to implement the methods of such interaction in modern conditions; explanation of the methodological principles and mechanisms of such interaction. Particular attention is paid to the development of skills and abilities: to analyze concepts, programs, political and legal documents, models, facts, events that determine the mechanisms of interaction between society and government.

Lecture, seminar, practical tasks, discussion of problem questions
Assessment methods and criteria
Oral answers, practical tasks, projects, credit. The maximum number of points per semester is 60 points. The form of the credit is oral, according to previously sent creative tasks and projects. The minimum number of points for admission to the get credit is 36 points. The number of points scored per semester is announced in advance.
