Learning outcomes
The student must know the basics of thermodynamics; basic concepts, theories and methods of classical statistical physics; quantum statistical distributions and their main applications. The student must be able to solve typical problems that require the use of statistical physics methods; to find the optimal methodology necessary for solving the problems of statistical physics, to find analogies between physical and economic problems.

Successful mastering is required to complete coursework tasks of the following courses: "Mathematical analysis", "Differential equations and theory probabilities", "Molecular physics", "Quantum mechanics", as well as study disciplines "Statistical Physics".
Course content
In the course of course work, students receive individual practical tasks, in the formulation of which wishes are taken into account students A student may limit himself when completing coursework tasks analytical calculations, or add numerical (computer) calculations. After finishing the work, students prepare a report and submit it to the teacher for evaluation. Coursework tasks may include the main sections of Statistics Physics of Molecular Physics, Thermodynamics, Probability Theory. As a result the student will receive coursework in the discipline "Statistical Physics". preparation sufficient for further study in educational programs Applied physics, economic physics, independent study of the necessary scientific literature, solving typical problems that require the use of statistics methods.

Assessment methods and criteria
Final assessment: Before the assessment, the student must submit a report (abstract) from completed work in writing. The assessment form is written and oral. In total you can get from 0 to 100 points. A condition for achieving a total positive grade for the discipline is to receive at least 60 points.
