Learning outcomes
The student must know the essence of physical phenomena that underlie the operation of semiconductor devices; classification, conventional designations, principles of operation, purpose,
the main characteristics, parameters and features of the use of semiconductor devices and radio-electronic devices, including digital ones.
The student must be able to explain the essence of physical phenomena that underlie the operation of semiconductor devices; classify semiconductor devices, explain their purpose and principles of operation; classify radio-electronic devices, including digital ones built on the basis of semiconductor devices, explain their purpose and principles of operation; independently choose the necessary semiconductor devices when designing and calculating radio electronic devices, including digital ones.
Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
The educational discipline uses the results of studying the disciplines of the "Higher Mathematics" chapter and the chapter "General Physics"
Prerequisites:
1. To have the skills to solve mathematical problems using equations of different degrees.
2. To have differential and integral calculus.
3. Have basic knowledge of the theory of the function of a complex variable.
4. Know the main characteristics of conductors, semiconductors and dielectrics.
5. To be able to explain such physical phenomena and concepts as electric current, potential, potential difference etc.
6. To be able to calculate the parameters of passive elements of electric circuits, applying methods radio equipment.
7. Have basic knowledge of electrical signals and their spectra.
Course content
The discipline program examines the physical phenomena and processes that underlie work semiconductor devices; principles of operation of radio electronic devices, including digital ones, built on the basis of semiconductor devices; methods of calculation and construction of typical analog and digital electronic circuits and devices.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture classes, practical classes, independent individual work, colloquium.
Assessment methods and criteria
Semester evaluation: during the semester, two oral modular tests on the lecture material (colloquiums) and three written tests on the materials of practical classes are provided. Another form of control is written performance reporting twelve individual calculation and graphic works based on the materials of practical classes.
Final evaluation (in the form of credit): the form of credit is written. In total, you can get from 0 to 40 points for the credit. The condition of achieving a positive assessment for
discipline is to receive at least 60 points, while the credit cannot be less than 24 points.
