Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the disciplines "Fundamentals of Ecology", "Chemistry", "Physics", "Botany".
2. Ability to independently apply knowledge of biology, ecology, chemistry and other disciplines to solve specific practical problems; work with scientific and scientific-methodical literature.
3. Possess basic skills of analysis of grammatical material, knowledge of grammatical categories
Course content
The program of the discipline provides students with the basics of normative grammar of Latin, biological terminology, principles of word formation, the main Greco-Latin word-forming elements used in biological terminology. When studying the section "Phonetics" skills of reading and pronunciation of Latin letters and letter combinations are formed. In the section "Morphology" the program is focused on the study of topics whose knowledge is necessary for understanding and competent application in practice of biological terms, as well as the translation of elementary texts. Students will gain the necessary knowledge of the general system of declension of Latin nouns and adjectives.
