Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of scientific-theoretical and practical material of academic disciplines taught to students of educational level "Bachelor" and special disciplines such as "Cellular Immunity", "Immunochemistry", "Reproductive Immunology", "Immunogenetics", "Immunopathology", "Natural resistance" and others. 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of immunology, biochemistry, plant physiology, genetics, cytology and histology, microbiology, virology, biophysics, etc. 3. Knowledge of the basic principles of basic biological methods.
Course content
The discipline "Phytoimmunology" highlights modern ideas about the relationship of higher plants and their pathogens on the basis of the synthesis of traditional and molecular-biological approaches from the standpoint of the evolutionary formation of immune mechanisms of multicellular organisms as part of the system of homeostasis, common principles of protection against aliens, including pathogens of different phylogenetic groups, on the infectious process and immune responses of organisms (plants, animals and human), as one of the dynamic systems of interaction between the microorganism and the host organism, outlines a range of methods and techniques for the study of diseases caused by pathogens of fungal, bacterial and viral etiology in plants and plant protection.
