Learning outcomes
5. To collect, organize and analyze information on cultural phenomena, events, historical and cultural processes. 6. To identify, verify and summarize information on various contexts of cultural practice, to determine the degree of their relevance using different sources, information, communication tools and visual technologies. 10. To recognize and classify different types of cultural products, to determine their qualitative characteristics based on comprehensive analysis. 11. To carry out expert assessment of cultural objects according to the criteria set and to provide recommendations for their social actualization.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Before starting this course, students should be able to know: the main stages and characteristics of the historical and cultural process; basic cultural theories and methods of cultural studies. 2. To be able to collect and interpret information about the phenomena and phenomena of culture, cultural processes and events; apply the main terms, categories and classifications of cultural studies in the analysis of socio-cultural phenomena and processes; to analyze the folk art of the world, their historical and modern functioning in relation to religious, sacred and folk art in Western and Eastern cultures in order to use the acquired knowledge and skills in research, education, cultural-organizational and cultural-educational work. 3. Possess elementary skills of scientific research of cultural phenomena and directing the obtained results into the practical realm; critical attitude and forecasting regarding cultural and artistic events and phenomena.
Course content
Basic regularities and features of folk art. Folk, professional, amateur decorative and applied arts: common and different. Ornamentality of folk art of the Western European region. The art of ceramics. Polystylism in modern ceramics of the world. Stained glass art of the peoples of the world Folk art of traditional architecture: common and different. People's theater and music of the peoples of the world.

Assessment methods and criteria
1. Participation in discussions, oral presentations: – 24/40 points. 2. Independent work (Project work): – 24/40 points. 3. Final control work in written form - 12 / 20 points The final number of points for the discipline (maximum 100 points) is defined as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester, taking into account the final test. The credit is given based on the results of the student's work throughout the entire semester and does not include additional assessment measures
