Prerequisites and co-requisites
To successfully master the course "Materials of modern electronics" it is necessary to: possess the mathematical apparatus of elementary and higher mathematics; to know the basic laws of general physics.
Course content
Crystal structure of materials. Thermal properties of solid bodies. Quasiparticles in solids. Metals, magnets. Semiconductors. Dielectrics.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures - 30 hrs, practical classes - 14 hrs, consultations - 1 hr, independent work - 45 hrs, total - 90 hrs.
Assessment methods and criteria
Semester assessment: Two modular test papers based on lecture material (up to 10 points each), written test paper based on the material of practical classes (up to 30 points), independent individual calculation papers (up to 20 points), in total - up to 60 points. Final evaluation in the form of credit - up to 40 points.
