Learning outcomes
Formation of the necessary system of knowledge among students regarding the basic principles and methods of building information and telecommunication systems, necessary for the creation, research and operation of systems of various nature; students' understanding of the processes taking place in information and telecommunication systems; preparing students for activities related to the use of information technologies; formation of professional competencies that determine the student's ability to use theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the development, analysis and application of information systems.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
To successfully master the discipline "Information and Telecommunication Systems" you need to know: basic principles of telecommunications organization; methods of researching systems of various nature; basics of organization of modern computer systems; basic mathematical methods of signal processing; modern trends in the development of electronic means of signal processing and transmission. And also, to be able to: use applied software tools for editing data of various types; "read" block diagrams of complex electronic, including digital, devices and systems.
Course content
Models of system description of network architecture. Standards of protocol models. Principles of building telecommunications. Basic telecommunication technologies. Network concepts. Dynamics of network development. Transport networks. Access networks. Enterprise networks. Network services. Network services. Network applications.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures - 46 hrs, laboratory work - 10 hrs, independent work - 64 hrs, total - 120 hrs.
Assessment methods and criteria
Semester assessment is carried out by writing two modular control papers and defending laboratory works, in total - up to 60 points. Final assessment in the form of an exam - up to 40 points.
