Course content
Discipline is normative. The learning model has a modular, cyclical and thematic nature. The motivation for mastering a foreign language is the professional need of students who are preparing to become highly qualified specialists with knowledge of one or more languages. In view of this, one of the main features of the English language course in non-language higher education institutions is its division into two directions - "General language" and "Language for professional purposes". They differ in the subject matter and lexical composition of the educational material, but are based on the same grammatical material. According to the "General language" direction, formation and development of skills and abilities of all types of speech activity (listening, speaking, reading, writing) is carried out. Language learning takes place on text materials of everyday and general cognitive topics, as well as of a country science and cultural nature.
