Course content
The educational discipline "Professional foreign language" is aimed at the formation of professional foreign language competence of students majoring in cultural studies. The discipline "Professional foreign language" consists of two substantive parts. The first concerns the first historical step - the philosophy of Ancient Greece, Ancient China and India. The second covers the philosophy of the Middle Ages, the Renaissance and the Reformation.

Assessment methods and criteria
1) Class work (fulfillment of tasks for speaking, reading, writing, listening) – 10 points / 16 points in each module 2) Writing short vocabulary and grammar tests - 4 points / 7 points in each module 3) Essay writing (1 per module) – 3 points / 5 points per module 4) Presentation (1 per module) – 3 points / 5 points per module 5) Final written tests (1 per module) – 4 points / 7 points per module Throughout the semester, the student's work is evaluated during each practical session on speaking/writing. During the practical session, the student has the opportunity to achieve from 0 to 2 points.
