Learning outcomes
The student must know the formal scenario of setting the optimization problem in the practice of analysis and development of radio engineering devices, systems and complexes, the main optimality criteria for linear and nonlinear programming problems and the methods and technologies of applying these criteria in the analysis and development of radio engineering devices, systems and complexes, the main analytical and search methods and methods of linear and non-linear programming of automation of solving optimization problems. The student must be able to understand professional questions formulated in mathematical language, apply mathematical concepts when describing applied optimization problems and use mathematical methods for solving them, use conclusions, work and canonical mathematical optimization methods, independently acquire new knowledge, prepare materials for reports and publications .
Form of study
Full-time form
Prerequisites and co-requisites
The educational discipline "Optimization of the design of radio-electronic means" uses the results of studying the disciplines "Theory of information transmission" and "Mathematical modeling of systems and processes", as well as "Higher mathematics", "Fundamentals of the theory of circles", Fundamentals of the theory of information transmission" and "Computer design and design of radio-electronic means". Prerequisites: 1. Know the mathematical methods of analyzing the functions of a vector variable for the presence of an extremum. 2. To have basic knowledge regarding the development of algorithms based on mathematical models. 3. To have the skills of mathematical and computer modeling of systems and processes in radio engineering. 4. To understand the mathematical methods of system analysis of the functionality of radio-electronic means. 5. To be able to provide a formalized structural description of the properties and limitations of radio-electronic means.
Course content
The main canonical methods of setting and finding a solution to an optimization problem are considered in the academic discipline. The principles of building algorithms that embody the automation of the processes of finding a solution to an optimization problem are explained. Standard approaches to setting and solving the optimization problem in the development, implementation and operation of hardware means of information transmission, processing and protection are considered.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, practical classes, independent individual work.
Assessment methods and criteria
Semester assessment: during the semester, one oral interview at the colloquium and one written modular test based on the lecture materials are scheduled. Another form of control is an oral report at a seminar class or an essay based on the materials of independent preparation and performance of laboratory work. Final evaluation is in the form of an exam. The form of the exam is written and oral. In general, you can get from 0 to 40 points for the exam. The grade for the exam cannot be lower than 24 points. The condition for receiving a positive grade in the discipline is to obtain at least 60 points
