Learning outcomes
PR5. Have the working skills of independent work and the ability to obtain results within a limited time with an emphasis on professional integrity in the cultivation of ornamental plants in open and closed soils, design, creation and operation of horticultural facilities PR6. Qualified to organize industrial technologies for growing planting material of ornamental plants in open and closed soils PR7. Organize activities on the technology of growing planting material of ornamental grasses and flowering plants of open and closed soils and design garden facilities in accordance with modern requirements. PR8. Use innovative approaches to solve specific practical problems in the field of horticulture.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know the basics of labor law, mechanization of garden and park facilities. 2. Know the basics of dendrology, soil science and soil microbiology, plant physiology, phytoecology of landscapes, meteorology and climatology, landscaping, phytopathology, selection of ornamental plants, onion growing, floriculture, landscaping, garden and park compositions. 3. Be able to use office computer programs and professional applications SketchUp, AutoCAD, TwiLight. 4. Have basic skills in growing and caring for plants
Course content
Vocational practice in horticultural facilities is a mandatory component of the educational program "Landscape Design and Landscaping", aimed at acquiring the professional, special professional knowledge and skills needed to solve basic technological and organizational problems of horticultural farms. In the course of internship, the student, performing the duties of a gardener in various departments of the Botanical Garden, consistently, weekly per department, gets acquainted with the organizational structure of the Botanical Garden named after Academician OV Fomin, the goals and objectives of the organizational units of the Botanical Garden, their structure, job responsibilities of employees of the units, the principles of organization of work on growing and maintaining plants.
