            To be able to use the results of independent search, analysis and synthesis of information from various sources for the effective solution of specialized tasks of professional activity; analyze, argue, make decisions when solving complex specialized tasks and practical problems in professional activity, which are characterized by complexity and incomplete determination of conditions, be responsible for the decisions made; act on the basis of the legislative and regulatory framework of Ukraine and the requirements of relevant standards, including international ones in the field of information and/or cyber security; implement processes based on national and international standards for detection, identification, analysis and response to information and cyber security incidents; develop threat and offender models;

            Prerequisites and co-requisites
        
        
            Knowledge of the Constitution of Ukraine, criteria for the formation of the most important spheres of life, basic approaches to ensuring human security, concepts of information and cyberspace, methods and means of countering cybercrime in cyberspace.
To be able to analyze the main trends in the development of information and cybernetic space and evaluate their possible impact on the security of a person, society and the state, to evaluate the nature and level of threats to the interests of Ukraine in various spheres of society.
Possess elementary skills of analytical work and the basics of legal and historical knowledge.
        
    
            Course content
        
        
            The educational task of the discipline "National and information security of the state" consists in increasing the level of students' knowledge on the following issues: National security as a systemic characteristic of the development of a person, society, and the state; information society - definition, problematic issues of formation and development; information space is the main substance of the modern information society; cyberspace - definition, main tasks, actors and goals; automation of information storage and distribution processes; the organization of searching, collecting and extracting information in cyberspace, the role and place of information security in the general system of national security; information warfare: main goals and methods of achieving them; regulatory and legal regulation of information security of Ukraine; functions of the system of entities providing information security of Ukraine; measures of the world's leading countries to protect their own information sphere from destructive cybernetic and informational influences.

            Assessment methods and criteria
        
        
            The results of students' educational activities are evaluated on a 100-point scale. The condition for receiving a positive overall grade for the discipline is to obtain at least 60% of the maximum possible number of points. To be admitted to the exam, a student must score at least 36 points for the current semester's work.
A student can get a maximum of 40 points on the exam, but the exam score cannot be less than 24 points to get an overall positive grade for the course. In the event that a student scored less than 24 points on the exam, the points received are not added to the semester grade (regardless of the number of points received during the semester), in the examination information (in the column "points for the exam"), "0" is put, and in the column "resulting grade" is transferred only the number of points received during the semester.
