Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of academic disciplines taught to students of the educational level "Bachelor". 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, cytology, embryology, cell biology. 3. Ability to independently apply knowledge of the above disciplines, perform laboratory and practical work, work with scientific literature and electronic databases, predict and critically evaluate research results, ability to system analysis.
Course content
The discipline "Molecular mechanism of cell differentiation" is a component of the educational program of professional training of specialists of educational level. "Master". The course is devoted to the study of molecular mechanisms of cell determination and differentiation at different stages of embryo development. Molecular mechanisms that control these processes are considered, special attention is paid to the regulation of gene expression during cell differentiation. The role of intercellular communications in the regulation of cell determination and differentiation is outlined. Examples of genetic diseases and anomalies associated with disruption of cell differentiation control systems are given. Methods of cell differentiation analysis and modern directions of research of this problem are demonstrated, the range of perspective projects in this field is outlined.
