1. Know the basic concepts of the scale of topographic maps, coordinate systems for determining the position of points on the earth's surface, the mathematical basis of topographic maps in the school course "Geography". 2. Be able to measure line lengths, geographic and rectangular coordinates, absolute heights on a topographic map. 3. Possess elementary skills in using topographic maps in solving scientific and practical problems
Course content
In the structural-logical scheme of training bachelors of the educational program "Landscape Design and Gardening", the academic discipline "Geodesy" is one of the key components of the comprehensive training of students. The academic discipline develops in close connection with the sciences of nature and society - with geography, geology, soil science, knowledge of which contributes to a deeper understanding of the properties of the physical surface of the Earth, its correct reflection on maps. Methods for solving scientific and practical problems of geodesy are based on the laws of mathematics and physics. The course consists of two main sections

Semester grading: 1. Performing laboratory work on topics 1-7: PH 1.1, 1.2, 2.1, 2.2, 3.1. – 10 points / 5 points 2. Modular test on the topic 1-7: PH 1.1, 1.2, 2.1, 2.2 - 15 points / 7.5 points 3. Performing laboratory work on the topic 8-12: PH 1.3, 1.4, 2.3, 2.4, 3.1. – 10 points / 5 points 5. Modular test on topic 8-12: PH 1.3, 1.4, 2.3, 2.4 - 15 points / 7.5 points 6. Protection of the performed independent work: РН 4.1 - 10 points / 5 points. Final grade: in the form of an exam
