Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know - the basics of plant morphology and dendrology within the framework of normative, special disciplines and field practices, which were outlined in previous years of study. 2. Be able to - use botanical terminology to describe and identify botanical objects in the amount determined by the normative and special disciplines set forth in previous years of study. 3. Possess elementary skills in using keys to identify taxa of different ranks
Course content
The teaching of this discipline is aimed at the theoretical and practical mastery of the basics of decorative dendrology by students: students get acquainted with the variety of cultivars of woody plants and the use of species and cultivars in landscaping. The course involves familiarization with the expositions of the Botanical Garden. Fomin and the National Botanical Garden. MM. Grishko NAS of Ukraine. The discipline consists of sections devoted to the issues of decorative dendrology: morphological features and decorative properties of woody plants, the main groups of woody plants are considered; Fundamentals of phenological observations of woody plants and methods for assessing their decorativeness.

Evaluation of the performance of laboratory work: RN 1.1, 1.2, 2.3 - 20 points / 10 points 4. Recognition of objects, knowledge of their Latin names: RN 2.2 - 10 points / 5 points 5. Presentations/reports – RN 2.3; 3.1 - 15 points / 7.5 points Final grade in the form of an exam
