Learning outcomes
PLO 2. To speak the state and foreign languages confidently for written and oral communication, in particular in situations of professional and scientific communication; present research results in the state and foreign languages. PLO 4. Tp evaluate and analyse socially, personally and professionally significant problems and propose ways to solve them in complex and unpredictable conditions that require new approaches and forecasting. PLO 13. Explain the essence of specific philological issues, their own point of view on them and its justification both specialists and public, including students. PLO 17. To plan, organize, perform and present research and / or innovative developments in a specific linguistic field. PLO 18. Present research results to the scientific community in scientific publications or speeches at conferences, workshops, seminars, etc.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastery of general education disciplines and specialised disciplines taught during two semesters of study in the master's programme. Students must have the skills of scientific research, critical attitude to the analysed phenomena, use of foreign language professional information sources; be able to plan and evaluate their own work.
Course content
The Master's Thesis is included in the list of compulsory disciplines and is taught in the 3rd and 4th semesters of the master's programme (270 hours in total) in the amount of 12 credits - in accordance with the curriculum of the educational and scientific programme "Spanish Studies and Translation, English". Its subject is to deepen the skills of independent scientific work, expand the scientific outlook of students, linking them to the chosen theoretical direction of the master's thesis. The research is aimed at consolidating theoretical knowledge in the field of Spanish linguistics and translation, mastering modern methods and forms of research activity; it develops practical skills and abilities in the course of professional activity.
