Course content
Human microbial ecology is the science that studies the composition and functions of the natural microbiota of different human habitats, the relationship of endogenous microbiota with the macroorganism and the environment, as well as the relationship between individual components of microbial coenoses in normal and pathology. The course of lectures studies the types of relationships between microorganisms and macroorganisms, microbiota of the digestive tract, skin, vaginal habitat. Particular attention is paid to the formation of microbiota in ontogenesis and the importance of maintaining its normal physiological state. The etiological aspects of its violation, as well as means and methods of their prevention and therapy are considered. Review and development of methods for studying the state of the microbiota of the digestive tract in normal and various pathological conditions of non-infectious origin.
