Learning outcomes
PR6. Analyze biological phenomena and processes at the molecular, cellular, organismal, population-species and biosphere levels in terms of fundamental general scientific knowledge, as well as the use of special modern research methods. PR9. Plan research, choose effective research methods and their material support. PR 13. Adhere to the basic rules of biological ethics, biosafety, biosecurity, assess the risks of the latest biological, biotechnological and biomedical methods and technologies, identify potentially dangerous organisms or production processes that may pose a threat of emergencies. PR 33. Be able to use modern methods of microbiological analysis and the results of molecular genetic research to solve problems genetics, ecology and biotechnology of microorganisms, including the tasks of medical microbiology.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successfully master the scientific-theoretical and practical material of the complex of educational disciplines of the educational level "Bachelor". 2. Know the theoretical foundations of microbiology, genetics, biochemistry, molecular biology and basic methods of biological research. 3. Be able to work with information databases in particular scientific and methodological literature. 4. Be able to use laboratory equipment in research. 5. Possess methods of analytical evaluation of the results of biological research to solve a specific scientific and practical problem.
Course content
The discipline "Pathogens of Infectious Diseases" is part of the educational program of professional training of specialists of the educational level "Master". This is a basic discipline that highlights the patterns of distribution of pathogens, their basic physiological and biochemical properties, pathogenic factors, antigenic structure, pathogenesis, the formation of immunity. It acquaints students with modern methods of identification, detection and diagnosis of pathogens and provides an opportunity to master the principles of planning and conducting research to address certain
