Learning outcomes
PLO 10. To analyze the functioning and development of economic entities, to identify functional areas, to calculate the relevant indicators that characterize the performance of their activities. PLO 12. To apply the acquired theoretical knowledge to solve practical problems and interpret the obtained results in a meaningful way. PLO 13. To identify sources and understand the methodology of determination and methods for obtaining socio-economic data, collect and analyze the necessary information, calculate economic and social indicators PLO 16. To be able to use data, provide argumentation, critically evaluate logic and draw conclusions from scientific and analytical texts on economics.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Know main categories and concepts of such subjects as: "Economic Theory", "Higher Mathematics for Economists", "Probability Theory and Mathematical Statistics". 2. Possess the basic methods and techniques of mathematical calculations, as well as have the skills to work in EXCEL
Course content
The curriculum consists of two content modules: module - 1 "Descriptive statistics", which examines statistical methods of collecting, registering mass data, its primary processing: systematization, grouping and regrouping, generalization and comparison using averages, absolute and relative frequency values, as well as methods of estimation and analysis of variation, differentiation, concentration and comparison of structures in time and space, module 2 - “Analytical statistics”, where the methods of correlation, regression and variation statistical analyzes are being examined

Assessment methods and criteria
Semester evaluation: 1. Participation in practice sessions (reports, answers to theoretical questions, independent implementation of practical exercises) - 20 points / 12 points (RS 1.1-1.2; 2.1-2.3; 3.1-3.2). 2. 3 midterm exams (topics 1-5, 6-9, 10) - 30 points / 18 points each (RS 1.1-1.2; 2.1-2.3; 3.1-3.2). 3. Independent work - 10 points / 6 points (RS 1.1-1.2; 2.1-2.3; 3.1-3.2, 4.1-4.2). Final evaluation in the form of the exam Maximum score is 40 points, threshold score is 24 points. The exam is written, consists of theoretical answers and calculation tasks
