Learning outcomes
1.1 To know the characteristics of the main theoretical paradigms that reveal the meaning of the concepts of "ethnicity" and "religiosity".
1.2 To know the basic forms of ethnicity and religiosity in modern society.
1.3 The content of the concept of the study of ethnicity and religiosity in the context of modern social transformations.
2.1 To analyze changes in the functioning of ethnicity and religiosity in Ukrainian society.
2.2 To identify and analyze trends in ethnicity and religiosity in Ukraine.
3.1 To demonstrate the skills of reasoned presentation of one's own opinion, competent and tolerant discussion with opponents.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. To know
- principles of history, general theory and methodology of sociology, specifics of branch sociological knowledge;
- disciplinary content of sociology of economics and culture.
2. To be able to
- create presentations at seminars, in a mass audience.
3. To have basic skills
- have the skills of group work and public discussion.

1. Branch specifics of ethnosociology.
2. Conceptual interpretations of ethnic and national communities.
3. Polyethnic society and the problem of interethnic relations.
4. Ethno-national processes in modern Ukrainian society.
5. Sociology of religion as a scientific discipline.
6. The problem field of the sociology of religion.
7. Social doctrines of world religions.
8. Recent religious movements and prospects for the development of religious institutions.
9. Religion in Ukrainian society.

Assessment methods and criteria
1. oral presentation: LR1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 2.1, 2.3 - 30 points / 18 points (10 classes with 3 maximum points or 0 minimum points each).
2. analytical task: LR1.1, 1.3, 2.1, 3.1 - maximum 10 points / minimum - 6 points).
3. tasks on independent work: LR1.2, 2.1, 2.2, 3.1 - (maximum - 10 points, minimum - 6 points).
4. control work: LR1.3, LR3.1– (maximum 10 points / minimum - 6 points).
- final assessment: exam LR 1.1, 1.2, 2.1, 2.2, 3.1. - maximum 40 points, minimum - 24 points.
