Learning outcomes
1.1 To know the main types of educational paradigms, discussions in domestic and world education. 1.2 To know the basic methods and techniques of teaching, assessment, feedback. 2.1 To apply theoretical knowledge in the practice of preparing methodological materials. 2.2 Be able to work with scientific, journalistic and everyday texts and data. 2.3 To use modern information and communication technologies, be able to prepare presentations, clarity. 3.1 To demonstrate the skills of reasoned presentation of their own opinion, competent and tolerant discussion with opponents. 4.1 To carry out independent bibliographic activities on the topic.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. To know the basic sociological trends, components of sociology as a discipline, its terminology, specifics in comparison with everyday knowledge and other disciplines. 2. Be able to read professional scientific publications, work with sociological data and formulate their own ideas in the Ukrainian scientific language. 3. To have the skills to find and select relevant information, work in a group, create projects and discuss.
Course content
I. The main challenges of teaching sociology. 1. Changing the paradigm of education: the main problems of modern education and ways to overcome them. 2. Sociology as a subject of teaching in higher education. 3. Sociological education in Ukraine: main tasks, trends, strategies. 4. Forms of control of knowledge and feedback in the teaching of sociology. ІІ. Methods of teaching sociology. 5. Methods of conducting seminars, practical classes and organizing the work of students. 6. Methods of using the means of the educational process. 7. Methods of evaluation, preparation and implementation of reviews, presentations and final works.
